Followup: twitter, a day later

by Matt on Aug.19, 2008 at 16:03 CDT, under twitter

I’ve now had a twitter account for just over one day. At first, there wasn’t much going on due to a limited number of contacts, but this morning, PixelRN posted a list of nurses that blog and changed my life in the twitterverse forever.

It appears that many of us on her list simultaneously chose to follow each other, weaving a giant spiderweb of twitter contacts (or whatever they are no doubt stupidly called).

I’m now following+followed with over 30+ people, and the twitter-thingy has been quite busy. Several interesting micro-conversations to date, although I’m not sure how much of it is a novelty act for me at this point. I guess time will tell.

On that note, I found a decent plugin that notifies twitter whenever I create a new blog post, and also creates a 24-hour blog archive post of my tweets. Creepy. We’ll see how long this lasts.
